Maritime Design Drawings

I specialise in drawing and re-drawing old design work for ships, boats, yachts and marine structures. They may be original, old faded design work, photo copies or even photographs. This may cover: Overall exterior views, general arrangement plans, structural construction plans, engineering work, joinery, masts, spars and rigging, sails or other parts and fittings.

I supply all drawings to a 1:1 scale on AutoCAD, as a PDF file or Jpeg, to be printed on any size paper or colour required. Drawing details, information, logos and ownership will all be included on the new drawings as required by you. The final design work can be used for archive, exhibit or construction of new vessels or parts.

Needless to say, you retain all copyright and intellectual property over the work and all work and information is returned to you on completion. I am happy to sign a non-disclosure agreement with you for security.

I have 48-years’ experience in yacht and ship building, repairs and restoration and have written 23 books on the various subjects. Five of these books cover ‘The Restoration of Classic & Historic Vessels’. I worked as a hands-on wooden boat builder/shipwright for ten years, owned and managed my own boatyard and have managed marine projects around the world.
